What to Expect at Raleigh Mobile Veterinarian

Think of a house call from Raleigh Mobile Veterinarian in the same way that you would view a visit from your own primary care physician. We are your dog or cat’s General Practitioner, which means that we can perform anything from normal check-ups to treating skin irritations and allergies, to dealing with geriatric issues or your puppy’s first set of vaccines.

First Step: Review Your Previous Records

Our team at Raleigh Mobile Veterinarian will initially obtain your pet’s medical records from your former veterinary clinic, so that we can review your dog or cat’s full medical history and arrive completely prepared for your first appointment.

Second Step: At Your Appointment

We take the best care of your pet, in a stress free environment. The Raleigh Mobile Veterinarian can examine your pet in any part of your house. Over the years, we have learned that dogs and cats are often more comfortable on your living room floor or in a bedroom. You may want to give your pet his or her preferred blanket or toy to make them feel even more relaxed during the examination.

The Raleigh Mobile Veterinarian will be accompanied on certain occasions by a vet tech to assist one of our vets with the handling of your pet or blood tests, for example. During almost every initial exam, we do a comprehensive physical assessment, devise a treatment plan along with you and respond to all of your questions. Appointments with the Raleigh Mobile Veterinarian are normally longer than in a conventional clinic and average approximately 30-40 minutes per dog or cat.

Step #3: Follow-Up

After the appointment is over, you’ll receive a summary email outlining everything that was covered during the appointment and make plans for subsequent steps, if needed. Should you need to book another appointment, you can always request the same veterinarian if you desire. The Raleigh Mobile Veterinarian is also available 24/7, seven days a week to answer any follow-up inquiries after the appointment.
